FORMS OF OXYGEN
There are basically three forms of oxygen available to individuals that can be used for cleansing and healing: free oxygen in the air (O2), ozone (O3), and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).
Free Oxygen
Free oxygen is the oxygen in the air we breathe. It consists of two oxygen atoms. This is the form of oxygen that the body needs for respiration and metabolism. We can increase our oxygen intake by simply breathing clean fresh air and by practicing deep breathing exercises.
In Asian cultures the breath is the source of strength and energy. Holy men, yogis, martial artists, and others practice deep, slow breathing as a form of health enhancement, spiritual enlightenment, and mental stimulation. They believe that deep breathing increases the body’s vital force or chi, as it is called in China.
Paul Bragg, one of the foremost authorities on natural health and longevity, traveled throughout the world studying cultures where people were particularly healthy. He met with the holy men of India who spent hours devoted to building physically and mentally powerful bodies as an instrument for high spiritual advancement. Some of these people are known to live 120 years or more. One holy man he met in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains told him that he was, at that time, 126 years old. This man had no reason to lie, because his whole life was spent seeking truth and spiritual enlightenment. This holy man had perfect vision and a beautiful head of hair. He had all his teeth and the endurance and stamina of an athlete. He spoke five languages. Bragg stated that this holy man was one of the most amazing men that he had ever met. When asked to what he owed his great strength and mentality, he answered, “I have made a long life practice of breathing deeply and practicing faithfully all of my breathing meditations daily.” Deep breathing exercise increases our vital capacity (VC) and brings more healing oxygen into our bodies.
The main drawback with breathing exercise is finding a place which is free from air pollution. Industrial exhaust and household fumes pollute the air both outside and inside. Unless you live in the country and have access to fresh clean air, the air you breathe is probably filthy. Breathing this type of air can actually make you sick. The only way to practice deep breathing in metropolitan areas is to use an ionizer or ozone generator to clear pollutants out of the air.
Ozone
Ozone, another form of oxygen gas, contains three oxygen atoms (O3) and is less stable. Ozone is a product of nature. It is formed in the upper atmosphere when ultraviolet light from the sun bombards oxygen (O2), splitting it into two separate oxygen atoms. The single oxygen atoms are chemically highly reactive and quickly hook onto other oxygen molecules, forming O3 (ozone). Ozone forms a thick protective coat around the earth, shielding us from the damaging rays of ultraviolet light from the sun. It is necessary for our survival.
Because ozone is less
